If you are experiencing outages on old Joyent (server.joyent.us) shared servers, you fall into one of the following categories:

  • You never replied to requests for migration preference. We tried to migrate you anyway, and something went wrong
  • You indicated you’d like to migrate yourself, and never got around to it
  • We migrated you, but you neglected to make DNS changes we requested
  • We attempted migrating you, something went wrong, and time ran out before a fix was found (About 1%)

If you’re one of the above, we appreciate the frustration of interrupted service. We have full backups, and are working on spinning these up as virtual machines to facilitate their restoration.

Current residents of older TextDrive shared servers in San Diego (e.g., server.textdrive.com) are presently being migrated and upgraded to modern architecture. Please refer to this page for information about IP address changes and progress of the move.
